External Job Advert: We currently have a requirement for a Senior Piping Engineer (Specification/MTO) to join us working on a long term FEED contract on our client’s Unconventional Gas programme. Bachelor degree preferred but could be offset by sufficient relevant experience. At least 10 years’ experience within the oil & gas industry. Preferably with experience of gas pipeline and gas processing..
Unconventional Gas – Project Management Services
AMEC Foster Wheeler has been awarded contracts by our client for the provision of engineering and project management services for their Unconventional Gas Development Program. The program covers three field areas in Saudi Arabia: the Northwest, South Ghawar and Jufrah & Rub’ Al-Khali (the ‘Empty Quarter’ in the southern Arabian peninsula).
The Unconventional Gas development program is focused on increasing gas production via the development of shale gas and tight gas resources in the Kingdom. The new sources of gas are intended to displace middle and heavy distillate fuels currently used in power generation.
AMEC Foster Wheeler’s scope of work relates to the surface facilities and will include study, front-end engineering design and other engineering services, including cost estimates, preparation of contract bid packages, assistance in the evaluation of bids and placement of purchase orders for long-lead equipment items. Foster Wheeler may also be requested to assist in managing engineering, procurement and construction contracts in connection with the program. The assignment duration is approximately three years’ duration, with an option to extend the contracts for a further two years.
